Hello,

My name is Susana Guillen, and I am the designer behind "SUSANA GUILLEN". For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of being a fashion designer. My career started with a Barbie sewing machine and a dream.

I didn’t know fashion could be a career until I started high school, I took my first sewing class my sophomore year and I graduated high school receiving the class of 2013 Family and Consumer Science Award, AKA the fashion award. I later attended San Diego Mesa College and got my A.S. in Fashion Design and Early Childhood Education/Social and Behavioral Sciences. Community college gave me the chance to participate in my first fashion show, (Golden Scissors Fashion Show, at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina San Diego in 2017) and later allowing me to study fashion in Italy and Argentina. I have continued my studies in pattern development in Tijuana Baja California MX, and it is here where I owe all my success and growth as a designer.

My brand is designed and drafted in Tijuana (MX) and proudly made from fabrics sourced in Los Angeles and sewn by me in my studio in San Diego (USA).

July 2022, I got the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for Lighthouse Space LA.

December 2021, I won the JOANN Fabric and Craft Creative Grant.

April 2023, I participated in the Mindful Moda Fashion Show.

August 2025, I presented my most up to date collection in Rosarito Baja California, MX at INNOVAMODA’s 13th annual fashion competition and placed 2nd.
